If someone asked me to describe Shelley, that's me, I would have to say she is a "playground fairy," as she has helped create so many accessible playgrounds around the country, a special needs advocate speaker, blogger, entrepreneur, wife and mom to 3 wonderful people.
Shelley has a BS from the University in Maryland with a degree concentrating on Interior Design and a minor in Landscape Architecture. She worked in the field of Interior Design in Retail and Commercial Design.
Shelley is best known for starting a 501c3 organization called “Hadley’s Park,” which was the first fully inclusive playground in the state of Maryland, and then once completed went on to create others around the country and began speaking about the importance of play for all children.
Now in the "next chapter" of her life she has opened a wonderful etsy shop called "the untraditional topiary." These trees are fabulous and can be used just about anywhere and we like to think they are a "chic alternative to flowers!"
